Behavioural scientist Dylan Evans, television presenter Esther Rantzen, Costa Prize-winning author AL Kennedy and singer and writer Pat Kane join Radio 3's Philip Dodd in a discussion on the Problem with Love. Is it bad for us? How does love alter our brains and our bodies? What impact will social media and changing gender relations have on the future of love? The edition is chaired by Night Waves presenter Philip Dodd and was recorded at the recent HowThe LightGetsIn philosophy and music festival as part of BBC Radio 3's Free Thinking in the Summer Free Thinking has been visiting four festivals throughout the summer including, the Institute Français Philosophy Night in London, York Festival of Ideas and the Chalke Valley History Festival in Wiltshire. These events are being broadcast throughout June and July and lead the way towards Free Thinking's annual weekend of debate at the Sage, Gateshead in October 2013.
