Tom Holland is joined in the Making History studio by the archaeologist Professor Francis Pryor and historian Dr Julia Laite from Birkbeck College University of London. Today: Dr Simon Thurley, Chief Executive of English Heritage joins Martin Ellis from Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery at Tattershall Castle in Lincolnshire which was saved for the nation in 1912 and paved the way for the Ancient Monuments Act of 1913.
