Blind photography and Olympic audio-description

Ian MacRae, editor of Disability Now presents. The Seeing With Photography Collective in New York enables visually impaired people to experiment with photography. Peter White and Cheryl Gabriel travelled to the US to meet members of the group including Mark Andres and Donald Martinez - two sighted photographers, and also Victorine Floyd-Flood and John, two of the blind members of the cooperative. Cheryl, who is partially-sighted is a keen photographer whereas Peter - blind from birth - has a more sceptical approach. Together they chart their participation in several photographic sessions using the technique known as painting with light.
