Ernie Rea and his guests explore the place of faith in our complex world. Ernie is joined by three guests who discuss how their own religious or non faith tradition affects their values and outlook on the world, often revealing hidden and contradictory truths. In this programme, Ernie's guests discuss what an understanding of the Big Bang Theory proves about the existence or not of God. How is the search for the so-called "God particle" or Higgs Boson taking shape at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, Switzerland and what are the implications for its discovery? Joining Ernie to discuss this are Professor Jeff Forshaw from Manchester University, Reverend Dr David Wilkinson from St John's College, Durham and Dr Usama Hasan from Middlesex University.
