Presented by Jenni Murray. Fatima Bhutto's new memoir "Songs of Blood and Sword: A Daughter's Memoir" describes what it was like growing up as part of a powerful Pakistani family and what happened following the killing of her father in 1996. As wild garlic comes into season - there's live cooking in the studio as Jane Baxter, head chef at the Field Kitchen restaurant at Riverford Organic Veg* Farm in Devon, and Gilli Allingham owner of the Really Garlicky Company in Scotland discuss how to recognise wild garlic, what makes it different from the bulbs we usually buy in the shops and what recipes to use it for. Why women should value their "Erotic Capital". In a recent article Dr Catherine Hakim, a sociologist at the London School of Economics, coined the term 'erotic capital' to describe that crucial combination of physical and social attractiveness which makes some people particularly desirable. She claims it should be recognised as a new fourth category of personal asset (alongside economic, cultural and social capital). She argues it can be as important as educational qualifications. Kate Smurthwaite - a contributor to the F-Word blog debates this with her. And as the Sudanese elections are extended Katie Whittacker reports on the changing lifestyles of women in the traditional cattle camps area of Southern Sudan.
