Working With Children

The Report

Available for over a year

Several prominent children's authors have said that they will stop visiting schools in protest at the impending introduction of new rules requiring the vetting of those working regularly with young people or vulnerable adults. Wesley Stephenson reports on the new Vetting and Barring Scheme and what it will mean for the estimated 11 million people that will need to be registered. He also asks if the new rules are likely to make children any safer.
