Real name Ralph Mignano DJ name Ralph Mignano Where in Somerset are you from? Weston-super-Mare How, and why, did you get started? After partying for some years in out-of-town underground clubs, warehouse parties in the early 90s, and Ibiza in '94 and '95, I decided to invest in my first set of Technics. With lots of late nights, and a lot of crash, bang, wallop, I finally got the mixing bug to a tee. I got my first DJ gig at a club in Bridgwater where I was promoted as "Ralph - uplifting celestial house". Celestial became my DJ name for many years. After that, I got my residency at the legendary Pawlett Manor, where I played for about a year. Where do you DJ locally? I am a resident at Housework in Taunton with promoters Matt Thorne and Marcus. I'm also the promoter for Q-bic in Weston-super-Mare. What's your style? Like many quality DJs in the scene I play a few different styles: house, hard dance, and hard trance. I've recently been getting into hardstyle. What do you listen to when you're not DJ-ing? Well I quite like my rock at the moment so I would have to say I listen to Green Day, Blink 182, Avril Lavigne (grrr) etc, etc. Who's your fave DJ? Paul Van Dyke - he is the Daddy. Where would you most like to play? Ibiza - this has got to be the ultimate place to want to play. Finally, tell us some interesting facts about yourself - I am the owner of a record shop in Weston-super-Mare.
