Sanath out, Dilhara in for tri-series

Jayasuriya, a ruling party MP, is still available for selection
The Sri Lankan cricket selectors have once again dropped cricketer turned parliamentarian Sanath Jayasuriya but have recalled Dilhara Fernando and middle-order batsman Chamara Silva for the upcoming tri-nation series against India and New Zealand.

Fernando who played for the second Test was replaced by Lasith Malinga for the third Test that was won by India on Saturday.

Chanaka Welegedara and Thilina Kandamby who were in the 15-man squad for the drawn Test series against India were dropped by the selectors and spinner Muttiah Muralitharan, who recently retired from Test cricket, was also rested for the tr-series.

Sri Lanka squad: Kumar Sangakkara (c), Mahela Jayawardene (vc), Chamara Silva, Thisara Perera, Dilhara Fernando, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Upul Tharanga, Angelo Mathews, Thilan Samaraweera, Chamara Kapugedera, Suraj Randiv, Ajantha Mendis, Lasith Malinga, Nuwan Kulasekara, Rangana Herath.
