A small group of protesters in Tamil Nadu have tried to forcefully enter the Sri Lankan Deputy High Commission in Chennai, officials say. Sri Lankan Deputy High Commissioner in Chennai, PM Amza told BBC Sandeshaya from Colombo that one official sustained minor injury to his hand after protesters threw stones at the office. The police post in front of the HC was damaged as police tried to prevent the protesters entering the office, he said. "They were shouting anti-Sri Lankan slogans," the deputy HC said. The Indian authorities have pledged to strengthen the security for all Sri Lankans working at the mission in Chennai after the incident.
