Wellington: All Saints Church Wellington can trace its roots back to pre-Christian Saxon times, when it was probably the site of a pagan temple. All Saints Church, which can be seen in this picture, was designed by George Steuart in 1790, to replace the previous Medieval Church, which used to be on the lawn in front. It's likely that the Mediaeval building replaced the pagan temple.
