RAF Museum, Cosford - Exterior view 2 This second view was taken from the ground of the museum. Many of the museum's bigger aircraft have to be stored outside, as the World War II vintage hangars housing the aircraft collection are simply too small. That's why many of the aircraft to be seen here are airliners from the modern era, many of which are on loan from the airlines which own them - although it's unlikely they will fly again. Aircraft to be seen here include the BAC 111(in British Airways livery), and (to the right of it) a Bristol Britannia. There's also a Boeing 747 in the distance.
