Atcham "Chocolate box" is often the term used to describe the picturesque village of Atcham on the banks of the River Severn. Here two bridges span the river - the old bridge, built in 1774, and the new, lower bridge, which carries the old A5 across the river and was opened in 1929.
Also in Atcham is St Eata's Church, parts of which date back to the 8th Century. Some of the stones used to build the church came from the Roman city of Wroxeter, which lies just two kilometres away. This picture shows both bridges and the church, as well as debris from the recent floods on the river bank.
