| The film opens on a horrific car accident. A couple are involved in the incident - Nikhil Oberoi (Arjun Rampal) and his wife Simer (Priyanka Chopra). While Simer escapes with only a few scratches, Nikhil's life is in grave danger. He recovers very slowly but loses his memory in the process.
He becomes dependent on his wife to learn about his past. He soon realises that something is wrong somewhere. We learn that he was going to divorce his wife just before the accident. Apparently she was having an affair with a chap called Kabir. So what happens next forms the crux of Yakeen. Although the ending is somewhat predictable, Girish Dhamija has done a good job considering Yakeen is his first film as a director. But having said this he should have paid more attention to the dialogues to add that edge-of-the-seat excitement typical in thrillers. Arjun Rampal plays his part well although Priyanka's role does not allow her to showcase her full talents. Overall Yakeen is only worth a watch if you are an Arjun and Priyanka fan, as it has nothing novel to offer the genre.
