People in Shropshire are being urged to make a special effort to recycle more. The county throws away a huge amount of rubbish and waste bosses want to improve on the 38% recycling and composting rates. The area has nine Household Recycling Centres at which you can recycle up to 20 different types of waste, including paper, cans, glass, plastic bottles, batteries, cardboard, electrical items and garden waste.
