BBC Singers: Light and Loss with Alexander Lüken
The BBC Singers are delighted to welcome Alexander Lüken, making his debut conducting the group in a programme of Germanic choral music including Brahms and Mahler to begin 2026. Lüken is the winner of the 2024 Eric Ericson Award, the world’s leading conducting competition.
Movements of Stefan Hecke’s Der verborgene Gott will be interspersed throughout the programme.
Recorded for future broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and BBC Sounds from St Paul's Church, Knightsbridge. Presented by Georgia Mann. The recording will last one hour and there will be no interval.
