Nicki made a shocking discovery- Shirley was apparently lying about her new home in Bearsden and sleeping in the salon. Nicki couldn't face confronting Shirley so phoned Della for help. Before Della arrived, Nicki told Shirley what she'd done. Shirley was furious, but the prospect of seeing Della helped her see reason and she accepted that the situation couldn't continue.
Innes Maitland and Charlie Bowie, two students, moved into Shirley's flat. Innes decided to have a housewarming bash and set about making plans for a big hair party. He invited some of the locals and made quite an impression- especially with Amber. At the party, Amber did her best to impress Innes, but was less than happy when Charlie's younger sister Jennifer drunkenly spilled a drink all over her dress. Nicki, Bob and Deek were also at the party. Bob seemed very taken with Nicki's outfit- was that a spark we just saw?
Jimmy decided that his lack of success in the job market was down to ageism and set about improving his appearance, ordering a toupee to make himself look younger. He managed to land a job, but Scarlett was not impressed. Jimmy thought the wig should stay- but Scarlett definitely had other ideas!
Della arrived and offered her mother a job in Spain. Shirley was reluctant, but when local businessman Gordon Swan told her that his offer on Moda Vida still stood, she realised she'd be silly not to go for it. The residents of Shieldinch all gathered together to give Shirley the proper Montego Street send -off that she deserved!
