Jamie started to get a bit stalkerish with Iona. She was happy to have him working in the shop but when he pretended to love Bananarama she smelt a rat. Shona tried to convince her he was happy with Nicki and a crush was just nonsense. Jamie, however, was uninterested in his girlfriend and focused all his attention on his new love. After all, age doesn't matter when you really like someone. When he bought the same phone as Iona and the two got mixed up, Iona freaked out when she saw he had loads of photos of her on it!

Liz told Archie she couldn't conceal the truth from Gina any longer but he cleverly manipulated the situation AGAIN! He accidentally-on-purpose dropped his soppy, romantic wedding vows on the floor for Liz to find and coo over. As soon as she showed them to Gina, they just melted over how wonderful Douglas is. Malcolm still refuses to condone their relationship but Ruth saved the day when she told them they could renew their vows at her flat.

Scott called in sick but pretended to Ruth that he'd just left work early. She was suspicious by his fake happiness and, when interrogated, he admitted that work is getting him down. His new boss, Manu, is just awful and he can't bear it. Ruth felt bad when he told her he couldn't consider quitting because he has a family to support.

Amber came home from hospital after acute alcohol poisoning. She was feeling understandably low, having had a her stomach pump, and Lydia was determined to lay down the law to keep her daughter out of further trouble. Lenny failed to back her up, leaving his wife to play bad cop, so that prompted a fight. Luckily they were on the same side when it came to finding out which lowlife had supplied Amber with dodgy vodka but it didn't take them long to figure that one out. Ewan was devastated by what had happened to Amber and mortified when he realised it was his booze. Lenny tore a strip off him and Lydia went mad as they refused to acknowledge he hadn't known what was going on. He told Lenny all he'd wanted was to make him proud of him but it fell on deaf ears. As far as Lydia was concerned, Ewan and Lenny's unscrupulous dealings were the root of all evil but Lenny was quick to point out that she reaps many financial benefits from his business. Undeterred, Lydia took matters into her own hands and smashed up all the vodka before it could be sold to the unsuspecting public.
