Scott was giving Eileen the cold shoulder after she called him a waster - her comments had hit him hard. When he spotted Ruth confiding in Zoe instead of him, and Raymond told him off for being late, he made a big decision. He quit the pub!
Charlie had a meeting with Scarlett and Kelly, but her mum decided to come along too. It was clear that the brides were never going to agree on anything and Jean jumped on Scarlett's jokey suggestion that she does all the organising! So now it's up to Jean and Kelly-Marie to do it all. They came up with ideas of fairy-tales and castles! Charlie was delighted at the thought of being a proper princess for the day, but Jean was unimpressed that Kelly's ideas were received better than her own. However, one good thing came out of it - Charlie and Scarlett were in agreement for once!
Gina was distraught about Ruth's plans to have an abortion and Douglas fussed around, looking after her. Rory was amused by the memory man's crush on his kind-of-wife. As Douglas consoled Gina, he moved in for a kiss but she quickly pulled away.
Tina was upset when Harry questioned her again about Eddie's last day but he insisted he had to be professional in his investigation. And he strongly told Jamie not to spread any rumours of Lenny's involvement in Eddie's death.
Jo and Gina tried in vain to stop Ruth terminating her pregnancy, and Scott was horrified to hear of her plans. Zoe found her looking upset and agreed to go with her to the clinic. Everyone kept asking her if she was sure about what she was doing but she insisted she was... but she didn't tell them it was happening that very afternoon. As soon as Scott found out, he broke her confidence and told Jo. She and her mum then rushed around looking for Ruth but she'd already headed into town with Zoe. When the pair returned, Zoe assured her she'd done the right thing. Ruth admitted to a very relieved Gina and Jo that she's made up her mind - she's going to keep her baby.
