Episode 39: Behind The Lines

First World War cemetary at YpresJohn Purser explores the work of the Scottish First World War composer, Cecil Coles. Coles' compositions describe the hardships of the Great War as he and other British soldiers experienced it. Tragically Cole was not to survive the war. He died aged 29 in 1918.
