Episode 22. Sex Without Repentance

John Clerk (C) scran.ac.ukThe young John Clerk of Penicuik was sent to Holland to study Law, but other things got his attention: architecture, music, and women. He travelled to Rome to study with the foremost composer of the age, Corelli, and composed a wedding cantata for one of the richest men in Europe, before eventually returning to Scotland to become a judge. John Purser follows him on his travels.
