Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of the following activities is to offer you some support in identifying:

• What the writer is saying to you, distinguishing between fact, opinion, perception - Understanding.
• What techniques the writer uses to achieve that - Analysis.
• How well those techniques helped the writer to say things to you - Evaluation.
