I'm writing this at Schipol Airport in Amsterdam. It seems a very, very long time ago that we had our passport traumas here. Things like being dropped off at the wrong terminal at Beijing Airport this morning really didn't faze us (well maybe a wee bit as we tried to find the right shuttle bus to take us to the right terminal).
We really have had an amazing time and long after friends and family are bored hearing about all the new sights, sounds and tastes we encountered during our filming trip, I'm sure that Gerald, Alasdair and I will be found in some local Chinese restaurant (hopefully with a bowl or two of Sichuan noodles in front of us), reminiscing about our adventures in the Far East and reliving all our China Stories.
Now there's just a small matter of editing all our rushes into eight programmes...

Is where I am typing this up just now. We have 5 hours until our connecting flight to Glasgow.
The flight from Beijing was pretty smooth. I watched films (mostly rubbish) and played games (mostly brilliant).
Erm, that's about it for today.
My camera is out of batteries and the connecting cable is in my luggage somewhere in the airport so no photies I'm afraid. Maybe I'll upload some later.
We are now off for a few days and so you might not hear from us till later in the week.
Bye for now.(eng. archive)
