My boyfriend and my x-box 360.
Travel pillow to avoid a sore neck and my video i-pod to avoid being bored in airport lounges.
I filmed for six weeks in India making "Raven The Secret Temple". Our biggest scene took place in a market. There were fifty extras, 20 stalls, a magician and - to add abit of authenticity - several Indian farm animals on set. Just before our 40 foot crane swung into motion I uttered the immortal line - "Cue the extras, release the chickens, cue the oxen, go crane and ACTION!"
(Vegetarian) haggis.
Director
I'm responsible for how the programme looks.
My creativity and storytelling ability.
It's the first time I've worked in the Learning department. I've worked in lots of different departments in the BBC including Comedy and Entertaiment, Childrens' and Events.
I once had to direct Mickey Mouse in Disneyworld, Florida - he doesn't speak but gave me a "thumbs up" sign, so I think he loved my work!

I always take a plastic clipboard with me when I'm out filming on location. Apart from the fact it makes me look important, it's a handy place to keep a copy of the schedule, questions for contributors and a list of the shots I need to get for my edit. My clipboard is waterproof - which sounds quite high tech but it just means it's got a front cover on it that I can close if it's raining (working in Scotland that means it's very rarely open!). It can also act as something to lean on when taking notes during filming and it has also been known to double as a tray when I get the rest of the crew drinks - which is another tip - get the crew on your side by bribing them... err... I mean buying them teas and coffees or if you are really after a big favour... chocolate goes down a treat.
