The Tooth Fairy - At Last

Well it's Sunday here on Lewis, the day of rest!! I could write pages on this but I will not (well at least until I know you all a bit better!!).

We're getting ready for a visit from the tooth fairy tonight. It's been brewing since we were told in January by the denitist (in Inverness I might add cause we can't get see by one here but that's another story) that my son's top two teeth were wobbly. He's already lost his two bottom ones (last Christmas - cue song!!). So it's been a long haul and boy am I sick of hearing about the teeth, although one seems to have "stuck" itself again. So it came out this morning at breakfast. Then we had an hour of phoning the grannies and grandas to tell them, and the auties and uncles so they all knew and then waking up daddy, who was expecially pleased to hear that at 10.30am as he was on nightshift last night!! Oh well, another to add to the collection, and another £1 yes I did say a whole pound out of the tooth fairies purse. That's inflation for you as "in my day" we thought we were doing well if she left us 20p, 50p if it was pay day LOL.

Impressed the hubbie (and the kids) with a roast chicken today. Trimmings included cabbage, carrots, creamed tatties, cauliflower, scurly (not sure if that's how you spell it but it's oatmeal stuffing) and gravy. And it was damn good, not a burnt bit in sight!! I'm going to push the boat out and make a chicken curry tomorrow, hope you are all suitably impressed.

Off to sort out my growing ebay empire and make my millions!!

Sunday is a funny day on Lewis, well it is on my part of Lewis, I watch the sport on TV, Herself does NOT hang out the washing, but does when we're on the mainland, but keep it to yourself, Boy works on a Sunday, in one of the Hotels that are open on a Sunday. I don't go to church, but Herself does, sometimes, so it's a different place, just go with the flow. Cheery...

Don't even get me started on this - I know we have to go with the flow, but what is the flow????? It seems to be all about NOT being seen to be doing and I just hate living in a hypocritical way. As you say some do, some don't but those that don't really are doing but just don't want it to be known that they are........following this LOL?? You can't keep kids locked up all day (even if you wasted too) and they see all the non-locals who come up to use our local park but they aren't allowed to use it as they'll be spoken about in school. They can play out the back and make as much noise as they like (according to DH) but he won't allow then round the front - what's that all about????? I'm not local to here but I am a Highlander and is just gaspers my flabber at the daftness of it all. I am not in any way demeaning how important Sundays are to some and that each and everyone of us is entitled to our own opinions etc, but what's the point of living a lie? Like I said I could write pages on this and many an agrument has there been in this house over it........And it's ok to fly on a Sunday but not take the (dreaded) ferry, not there's something I do not understand?? I'm gonna stop now before I forget to............M E

I was just saying, or trying to say, that do whatever you want, but if you put on parade that you're doing it, some people are funny about that ( and not the LOL funny) Just do what you wanna do ME. A wise man once told me this " Never turn your back on Mother Earth" Is that true??

Thewhiterthanwhitesettler from No Telling

I think that was HM with her bow and arrows you weren't to turn your back on... edpecially if you're a car...

Flying Cat from Cheshire Grin

Well due to circumstances outwith my control, I have to "perform and comply" so I can't do what I want, but I think that's what makes me wanna rebel even more LOL. And you can turn your back on me, no problemo, I'm a pussycat really (well not really but you know what I mean).....M E

Mother Earth from Behind the Kitchen Sink

Is a blogger allowed to "perform & Comply" on IB? And is there any pix. or a video?
