Hera.....Hera......HERA!!!!

That is the usual cry heard around the farm at the moment - Hera, the new puppy has the attention span of a 5 year old on too many E numbers. Everything is there for her amusement, to be sniffed, chased, bounced on or chased (including the cats, geese, ducks and other dogs).

Buttons - lights are on but there is no-one at home.

Pete - current top dog.....not for long i suspect.

Pete and Hera "I'm just going to stuff my cold wet nose down your earole"

Hera - right, whats next i can bounce on?

Hera - pose for a picture? Moi? Noooo much more fun to never sit still!

Pete - "oh fer gawds sake will you SHUT UP!"

At last, a cute pic to put on the net Hurrah!

Wee dog is lovely, DoaD. I just looked on another website to see some adult ones (I've never seen a Leonberger before), and they are whoppers! Gorgeous, though. They seem fond of digging (huge big holes!).

It's a Leonberger? Never heard of it myself, but maybe BurgerKing do it, or McDonalds, make mine with extra fries, I'm bulking up for the winter, it's gonna be a cold one, mark my words....

Can't wait to see the full-size version strolling down the street...I'm guessing it'll be a very stately progress!

Leonberger? Is that a guess Jill or did deckhand say it somewhere hidden from me? It could be: is it? How old was the pup when pictures were taken, Deckhand? Nice looking dog. I would not have thought Leonbergers could be found so readily in Orkney. But then, there is Hooch: who could have guessed that, off the ferry in Shapinsay, would come the personification of Drool!!

The doglet is around 8 weeks old now and was bought up from the deep south (nottingham somewhere i think). Allegedly Leonbergers dont drool, but i am yet to be convinced on this one.

What a cute Leo! I can definitely confirm that Leo's don't drool, I have 3 of them! They are messy drinkers, but they don't drool the same way a newfie or Great Dane does..............They won the European Children's Pet of the year in 2006 and make a great family pet
