Weather this weekend-awesum

This was one one the many snow drifts last year, just outside my house. Last year we had some serious snow, alomost a week of school! (SCORE!) and the forecast for the start of next week is looking promising! The wall (if you can see it) pictured is about 4.5ft high, but it wasn't the biggest drift though.

Now this beastie of a drift is the biggest i have ever seen! It came well well up to my nose and I'm about 5'6'. My sisters and I could all stand on top of it, and run along it, for it went for a good 20 meters outside the back of our house. The roads that day weren't much better, many of the local farmers were out helping the snow plough unblock the 2ft snow drifted roads.

So after a blustery day that threated my home journey from Kirkwall School, we're set out for (hopefully) a very late winter...
