feather stitch
Posted: Tuesday, 05 August 2008 |
last weeks stitch was feather stitch one of my favs, Mrs Christy had several variations including one called chained feather, which was quite time consuming to do but looks like flower buds on a stem, I like the closed feather and found it good as a couching stitch, this week is fly stitch which I have not started yet but I bought 4 DVD’s yesterday so I think a little escapism is on the horizon,

early morning sky
Posted: Friday, 15 August 2008 |
woke up way too early this morning which gifted me with beautiful sky and cloud colour,
these were taken between 5.23 and 5.39 (source camera record),
5.23am east/north east

5.38am moving the camera along from east to north east,
5.39am and turning to the clouds over Barvas moor to the south,
you know the saying that warns the shepherds…..well it was raining by 7am.

honeysuckle twiglets
Posted: Wednesday, 27 August 2008 |
the honeysuckle twiglets are growing like jack’s beanstalk and there are flowers, I hope they stay this good when they are transplanted in the autumn,

the flowering currant is growing like mad too but alas the bush honeysuckle didn’t do so well,

Looking down on the lighthouse from the top of the hill,

The coast from the road,
