UK's most northerly bairns to sail to Norway
Posted: Wednesday, 07 December 2005 | 2 comments |

Next June 9 of our older schoolbairns and 2 staff (including me!) will join the crew of the Swan in Baltasound Harbour and sail to Norway. It will be a very 'hands on' experience, with everyone taking part in the watch system & having a go at sailing the boat. We will spend about a week exploring Norway (it may take us that long to recover from the outward journey!) before we sail home to Baltasound again.
Lets hope the weather's as good as it was today, we had beautiful blue skies & even did a spot of filming at the beach for our school Christmas play.

Hi Ruthodanort,
you'll have a great time. Charlie-my 17 yr old daughter-went on the tall ships race aboard the swan in 2004. Sound vessel. And she's not a sailor. She got the bug and has almost finished her RYA day skipper!! Have a great time
