Jura Photos web site

Its some time since I was on the BBC Jura blog site three years to be exact

Shame on me I was reminded about it by a local resident who suggested I should update my links

Well since I was last on their has being some mayor changes to the Juraphotos web site

It is at present undergoing some major restructuring and a complete re wright of some of the scripts

also a new secure opensource contact form with captcha, java script, php and audio verification

the paps and the bay

Jura photos is a image library collection of old, new and historical images

members may contribute and update information on images

To do

Link images to oldcharts.co.uk to display location on old maps and new maps

Update image information and lat and lon

update contact form script

The contact form script is free and opensource it is fully functional just needs some minor tidying up

It can be down loaded from the FAQ section

Click on the images below and you will be taken to the full size image on Juraphotos gallery

Although my ISP is BT still having a hassle with them 50p/minute calls to find out why I could n't get broadband thinking I'd set it up wrong only to find out eventually they had n't activated the exchange.

John from Jura

If you ring 150 and tell them it's their fault and you're not wasting 50p per minute to be left on hold they will put you through to the help desk for free.

Finaly got broadband at last with BT all seems ok had several losed conections carnt complain to much apart from the cost 25% more on avarage compaired to other providers but its a lot beter than the dial up The Jura photos site should be all up dated in the next few days when I get the Mysql data bases sorted out A bit of a steep learning curve but geting their sorry for the broken link will be sorted shortly

Still no broadband at knockrome..paying for it though! Given up phoning BT and hoping Santa will bring a new exchange.

graeme from knockrome

Bt broadband always on their slogan should be always off Still having intermitant problems with droped conections not geting conected etc However the last 10 days the conection is more stable I have managed to trace the problem to a Bt server near London but trying to get a bt representive who knows what they are talking about instead of reading from a set script, is like finding a needle in a haystack A good web site that is worth a look is http://btsucks.org Its not very popular with BT I wonder why any way if the conection does not get any worse I wont complain to much We might be lucky Bt might upgrade the exchange to the 2 meg what we are paying for instead of the 512 kb at the moment Out of intrest my brother who works for a telcomunications company in the southern hemisphere has broadband and he lives just over 20 miles from the nearest exchange if it can be done their it should be possible here Knocrome is not that far from the exchange any way who cairs at the moment more important things Santa has being and almost new year Party time
