Students should be able to do the following things if they work their way properly through all sections of the site: -
· Recognise the geographic spread of developed and developing nations in the world.
· Understand how physical and human factors can affect the development of countries.
· Be able to give examples of countries affected by physical and human factors.
· Understand and interpret several social and economic indicators.
· Understand the distribution, causes, effects and control measures of malaria and cholera.
· They should ·also recognise these diseases as major diseases of the developing world.
· Understand the distribution, causes, effects and control measures of heart disease and cancer.
· They should also recognise these diseases as major diseases of the developed world.

The Health section is divided into two further sections - diseases of the developing world; diseases of the developed world. Subjects covered in the Health section are: -
