About the site

Global Population is a website designed to help you interrogate and make sense of information which a geographer might make use of when studying patterns of population growth, movement and decline. These are the same skills you need to gain maximum marks in a Higher or Intermediate exam question.

There's raw data, graphical images, country profiles and individual case studies. You can interrogate these and practise working with them. And then you can use the facts on the sites to try some exam style questions. Identifying the precise question you're asked is a skill in itself and these exercises will help you perfect your style.

And there's more! Have a look at the Links and Further Activities page for ideas on how to collect your own information and build up your own files and case studies.
