Textile waste is being turned into something more valuable and desirable

Annika Sanders of Junky Styling
One of the buzzwords at last month's London Fashion Week was "upcycling". We're on a mission to find out exactly what it means. Our reporter Siobhann Tighe speaks to the academic who first coined the term. She explores how textile waste is being "upcycled" into something more valuable both commercially and aesthetically; and she finds some examples, including Virgin hot air balloons being turned into expensive weatherproof jackets.
