Professor Kathy Sykes05 January 2004
Kathy is a physicist has just become the Professor of Public Understanding of Science at Bristol University.

She was one of The Guardian's 50 Women to Watch, she was voted one of the 20 Smartest Women in Britain by Eve magazine, she was one of the Daily Mail's 2003 Wonderwomen and in the Independent on Saturday she was the scientist to watch out for in 2004.

She joins Woman's Hour from to discuss science teaching in schools and careers in science.

The new series of Rough Science started on January 6.
