Emma ChambersFriday 21 June 2002
Emma Chambers
Is best known as Alice, the ditzy verger in The Vicar of Dibley. She made her big screen debut as the equally dippy sister of Hugh Grant in Notting Hill.

Now, not wishing to be type-cast, she's taken on a role as the downtrodden wife of Neil Pearson in the West End revival of Benefactors.
She tells Martha why it was time for a change.
Benefactors by Michael Frayn at the Albery Theatre, London previews from 19 June. Box office number: 020 7369 1740.
