Forgotten Fruit & VegetablesFriday 10 May 2002
Last night, Woman's Hour won the Radio category in the Glenfiddich Food & Drink Awards.

It was for our series on forgotten fruit & vegetables - including trevisse, radicchio and sour cherries.
One of them is in season now - although you might have trouble finding it in the shops. Anna McNamee and the food writer Sybil Kapoor went to meet Fred Foster of Turnips Vegetable Wholesalers at London's Borough Market. Fred showed them a long tapering root vegetable that was very popular in the 18th century.
