Loretta SwitFriday 21 December 2001
Loretta Swit is best known for her role as Major Margaret 'Hot Lips' Houlihan in the long-running television series of the 70s and 80s M*A*S*H.

Success allowed her to become one of the queens of American TV movies for about a decade, appearing in a total of 25, which included the role of Chris Cagney in the 1981 pilot for Cagney and Lacey.
She has also appeared in eight feature films, is a vocal animal rights activist, and presented a series of successful wildlife magazine programmes for the Discovery Channel in the early '90s.
Loretta is the latest celebrity to join the London cast of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues. Loretta joins Martha to talk about performing for a British audience.
The Vagina Monologues is on at London's Arts Theatre. Box office: 020 7836 3334
