Menopause The Musical18th April 2007
Menopause the Musical
When Dr Josephine Barnes touched on hormonal changes during the menopause on Woman’s Hour back in 1968, it was deemed “acutely embarrassing to hear about hot flushes.. at two o'clock in the afternoon”. Nearly forty years later 'Menopause the Musical' has finally reached the stage in London, putting night sweats and memory loss to song.
Jeanie Linders, the show’s writer and producer, and Sally Feldman, Head of the School of Media, Arts and Design at the University of Westminster join Jenni to discuss the musical’s significance.
