The revival of Evita has just opened in the West End with, for the first time, an Argentinian taking the starring role. Elena Roger has already picked up a string of rave reviews for her portrayal of Argentina 's most famous daughter. She tells Jenni how she canvassed Andrew Lloyd Weber for the part and how the real Eva Peron still has enduring appeal in her home country.
