How's your driving? We mentioned on the programme the other night our plans for an item on iPM about older drivers. We had a big response and we're using some of those responses as part of our coverage. A bit later I'll be recording an interview with a GP who believes the guidance from DVLA about drivers over 70 is unclear...and he has families coming to him, asking him to stop their elderly relatives getting behind the wheel. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/ipm/2008/08/ driving_how_olds_too_old.shtml
In tonight's PM, the latest figures on hospital infections...we'll look at a plea for there to be less disruption on the railways...and how much would you pay for a Titian (bless you)?
Also - should we look to Norway for more of our energy needs? (By the way, have you ever been to Nordkapp? I was there recently and thought they had a bit of a cheek charging repeatedly for the honour of being there. But that's got nothing to do with our report on energy so I'll shut up.)
There'll be more, but I don't want to spoil the surprise too much.
See you on the ice at 5.
Eric Muir
