 Jim started gambling when he was 12. By the time he reached his twenties he owed thousands of pounds to loan sharks. To help pay off his debts he robbed a bookmakers. He was caught, convicted and went to prison.
Jim realised the extent of his addiction which he'd always believed he had under control. His time in prison made him realise how he much he had damaged his relationship with his girlfriend and daughter.
Once out of prison, Jim managed to pay off his debts with the help of his family. He's come to terms with the fact that he has to change and receive proper help for his addiction. He's now having treatment in a residential home.
