Meryl Harrison was born in the UK but has lived for most of her life in Zimbabwe. She works as head of Zimbabwe’s Society for the Protection of Animals.

Over the last four years, Meryl’s work has focussed on animals on farms confiscated, or invaded, by war veterans. These invasions have become notorious for acts of brutality with horrific consequences for some of the animals caught in the conflict, as Meryl has witnessed...
