It was through their love of scouting that June and Phillip met and fell in love. They continued their involvement as Scout Masters after their marriage - in fact they credit it with keeping them together all these years, especially when their two boys became part of the scouting movement too.
Philip & June Bacon have been scouting for more than 100 years if you count them up between them and each have a long service “silver acorn medal” to prove it!
