NIGHT MAIL
To commemorate the end of the Night Mail service, Simon Armitage, like WH Auden before him, was invited to write a poem about the travelling post offices. Front Row travelled with Simon Armitage on one of the last night mail trains and his poem is broadcast for the first time on Front Row this evening.

Simon Armitage and his poem will be included in the Royal Mail 'Letters by Night' prestige stamp book
