STAGE DIRECTIONS
Ibsen famously filled his plays with detailed stage directions, Sarah Kane on the other hand wrote almost none. As plays by both appear in new productions, writers Tom Stoppard and Roy Williams, director Michael Blakemore and actor Warren Mitchell discuss the importance of stage directions.

Ibsen's A Doll's House is at the Barbican Theatre from 11 February and Sarah Kane's Crave is at the Battersea Arts Centre
