DAVID YELLAND RESIGNS
David Yelland, Editor of the Sun newspaper announced his resignation today after 5 years in charge. He's to be replaced by Rebekah Wade, currently the editor of the News of the World. This will make her the Sun's first female editor. The Guardian's Media Correspondent, Matt Wells, gives his assessment.

Musicians often boast an art-school training in their background - Bryan Ferry, for example, or Jarvis Cocker. Then there are those who, once established, turn their hands to art. Paul McCartney and David Bowie have both exhibited work. Sometimes, however, the traffic goes in the other direction. RAPHAEL AND THE DUKE OF NORTHUMBERLAND
The Duke of Northumberland today criticised the National Gallery for suggesting he was acting 'unethically' by signing a provisional deal with an American museum to sell them Raphael's The Madonna of the Pinks.
