Two compositions by rising star, Julian Anderson, are featured at the Proms this year. Only 35, he has already been composer in residence at the London Sinfonia, and is now on contract with the prestigious City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. He talks to Rosie Goldsmith about what it is like to be young and gifted.
Julian Anderson's Alhambra Fantasy will be performed at the BBC Proms in London on Monday 2 September and Imagin'd Corners on Wednesday 11 September. Both concerts will be broadcast live on Radio 3.
