John Adams' Harmonium
Monday 8 May 2006 19:30-21:30 (Radio 3)
The audience at Leeds Town Hall experience the city premiere of John Adams' great Harmonium - his 1981 setting of three poems of transcendental vision by Emily Dickinson and John Donne for huge orchestra and large choir.
Plus, Britten and Debussy are inspired by the sea to create some of their most imaginative and thrilling orchestral scores. With the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Presented by Sarah Walker.
