BACKGROUND
The first track starts powerfully with 21st century angst while the second track smooths out the music but keeping the same theme. Then the third track is a recapitulation back to the first track but somehow combining the mellowness of the Doves and the angst ridden nature of Radiohead. A tonic for any Saturday morning.

As I thought how they fitted together, I compared the lyrics of the two songs and I felt that both songs gave me a sort of postmodern pick me up getting out of bed. The Doves song seems to amplify and clarify the Radiohead. I'd like to ask both bands if there has been any connections.

Hearing the Brad Meldau Trio for the first time, I knew I had heard the music somewhere before. I then realised I was listening to a jazz version of Radiohead. When I got home I immediately put on Kid A (Radionhead) and listened to the same track this was my inspiration for the play list!
