BACKGROUND
Verdulac is sensational. Garbarek with his signature soprano saxaphone and then bass sax at his very best. Art Lande is the perfect accompanist. Rypdal is my star of the next piece. There are stretches of his guitar reminiscent of his double concerto. Robert Wyatt's interpretation of Edward Gorey's eerie poem is simply superb. Hoist That Rag is Tom Waits at his very best. Quite accessible but throaty and distorted. Contrasts well with Robert Wyatt's easy to understand diction. Three good tracks!
