BACKGROUND
The list is a brief, sleepy collection of tracks. The first track, 'Roygbiv' (the colours of the rainbow) is as colourful as its title references. Boards of Canada make interesting, often disturbing, yet frequently beautiful electronic music. The second piece is by a very interesting group called Icebreaker International, whose "Trein Maersk: A Report to the NATOarts Board of Directors" album is a fascinating collection of music representing various ports of call over the world. The final track ends this natural/oceanic playlist with one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever known. It was a child favourite of mine, and remains a favourite to this day. A wonderful part of Saint-Saëns' "Carnival of the Animals" work. I hope you all enjoy these three pieces of music, I'm unsure as to whether you would ordinarily play music from the first two artists on this particular show, but give it a try, you might like it!
